Village Litter Pick

Regular litter picks take place in the village and were established in 2010. They are coordinated by a member of the Parish Council.

A group of volunteers meet on a Sunday once every two months. Volunteers meet at the village hall at 10am and go around the whole village, taking about an hour. They use equipment bought by the Parish Council including bin bag hoops and hi-vis vests. About 10 bags of rubbish are collected each time.

Some examples of unusual items found have included a fridge freezer, lots beer cans and Macdonald’s rubbish, tyres and car seats.

If anyone wants to join in please email the Parish Clerk or visit the Honingham Pickers webpage. Dates for future litter picks can also be found on their website.
